Kiruna Sleddog Tours is home to Mats Pettersson — eight-time Iditarod finisher, the world's toughest dog race — and his 60–80 sled dogs. The kennel is located in Djurgården just outside Kiruna, 300 km north of the Arctic Circle, with views towards Luossavaara. We offer personal and private dog sledding tours year-round: kennel visits, 2–3-hour tours and demanding expeditions, plus snowmobile tours, ice fishing and northern lights experiences. Summer tours include training and hiking with the dogs, accommodation on-site, and meals prepared with ingredients from Norrland. Safety for both people and dogs always comes first, and all guides know each dog by name.
